Transmission Oil
I have C200 Kompressor year 2005 and had its automatic transmission oil changed. it is at times giving jerks when changing gears that was not there before. can anyone suggest what is the recommended oil number for automatic transmission please? Also, how to check the differential oil and what is its grade?

correct fluid to use for your transmission is ATF 134.
if the correct fluid was used and you are having this problem it might be that the level is not set correctly. As far as the differential the dealer told me to use just any gl5 rated oil though other people will tell you that that you should use the exact Mercedes part number. I used Castrol and it seems to be fine after 100000 miles and ready to do it again.

Thanks. I used Mobil ATF 134. Will check the level but it needs a special dip stick which I will have to find from some garage as the dealer is a great ripper.
As for differential, please let me know which make: oil company?
Are there any level sensors for transmission as well as differential oils?
