C240 automatic transmission

My C240's first service appointment is coming up and I am wondering if I can ask the dealer to change the gear ratios to make the transmission more responsive. As most C240 owners know, there's somewhat of a dead spot around 20-25 mph where the auto transmission is slow to respond. The engine itself has enough power for my driving style, I just wish that the transmission would do a better job sometimes.
Has anyone had their C240 modified in some way (by a dealer or someone else) to get more power or at least more responsive gear shifting?
Thanks.

There's nothing your dealer can do to change the ratios. You could try using the manual-shifting mode to get faster responses. Didn't you test drive the car before you bought it? If you had noticed the lag before-hand, you might have bought a 6-speed model.
