Problems with 03 c240
Hey guys I just got my dad's old Mercedes and he's done a lot of things to it to make it awesome. I'd like to be able to continue his work and maintenance of this beautiful machine. Lately it's been having problems staying from a cold start and every now. And then even if it's warm it won't start. It'll crank but nothing else. After leaving the key in the on position for 10-20 second it's start no problem and run like a champ. I got the check engine light checked out and the code came up as a camshaft position sensor. Can anyone help walk me through what to do about the sensor and getting the car starting right every time? Thanks

First of all dawoodz, welcome to the Forum !! I'm sure you'll find a lot of great information, and the people here are exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Funny you should mention the issue you're having with your Dad's car. You might be interested in reading a thread I started just a few days ago with a very similar problem.

I too got the same error (P0341), but not initially. My first code was P0340. But both are indicative of an issue with the Camshaft Position Sensor. I'm waiting for my replacement to come in, and I'll be updating my thread accordingly. In the meantime, you may want to consider getting yourself a Camshaft Position Sensor. It might be the cure to our problems. They're not too expensive (~$28.00).
