2004 c230 kompressor coupe
oil pan replacement job
I have a 2004 c230 coupe 1.8 L that needs oil pan replacement. Mercedes technician said it is 2-3 hour job. Now they are telling me they need to take out exhaust and the sub frame to get to the pan which takes 6+ hour job. I don't think that it needs all this. Need your advice, if possible anybody could provide pdf.

I could have sworn I read a thread earlier saying that the oil pan in the 1.8L could just be dropped down without removing anything. I would get a second opinion if I were you.
Edit: Good question would be, why is the oil pan being replaced in the first place?

^ I'd assume the engine oil pan, as the transmission pan would be a 2 hour job max, and it is never blocked by the exhaust or anything aside from the skid plate in any of the MB vehicles.
