Too much oil error?
Day after I got the brake booster replaced I get this error that the oil is overfull. It only happens when I run high revs or push it. I dropped into dyno mode to check the oil level and what I saw is really weird. A couple of fast starts sends the oil level way up. And BTW checked it dipstick and its OK. Normal flat cruising shows about 6.2 to 6.5 quarts. Push it and suddenly its going up over 7 as much as 7.9. Then easy cruising and it slowly counts down .1 quart at a time at one point showing 5.5 quarts before settling back into the mid 6 quart region. Wtf ? Mechanic wants to take a look and C if the wiring was disturbed. We are both wondering if perhaps it is the oil level sensor in the oil pan? But why would a jackrabbit start effect the oil level? Also happened when climbing a hill. Anyone have any ideas? Also fYI the mechanic did not add any oil.
