Does the end of the alternator SHAFT have a nut to unscrew?

Does the end of the alternator SHAFT have a nut to unscrew?

I'm thinking, if not, to hold the alternator shaft in place and turn the alt. pulley counter clockwise.

Other than the answer in your other thread, and the video, you can ask Hogger on this forum. He is the only one I know of that replaced the alt. pulley.

Thx for the help VVF. I went with my gut that there's no shaft nut, so I turned the pulley counter clockwise while holding the shaft steady and she's out.

So it is possible to replace the pulley without removing the alt.
Which means I wasted about a $100.
The voltage regulator I believe one can swap without removing the alt, now we know that the pulley is doable as well.

You might consider taking a couple of pictures and posting as a DIY actually

I'm about to pull the pulley on my w211. Was wondering if pulley was reverse threaded. Looks like it's not.
