Wheel Badge Removel/Change
Can anyone tell me how to remove the wheel badges on a C230? I've purchased new ones (blue logo) to put on. Tried everything and no luck. I wouldn't think that removing the wheels would be required??? Any suggestions are appreciated!
Thanks.
Thanks.

It's very tricky and hard to remove the center caps without damaging them if you don't take the wheels off first. The center caps are made to hold in tight and good hit from behind is really needed to pop them out. If you decide to not remove the wheels first, don't cry when/if you damage or scrape the wheel it's self.

REMOVE THE WHEELS FIRST!!!!
dont try to do it without... just as awiner said, you will probably damage the wheel cap or the wheels.
Just take the wheels off one by one and tap the cap from behind. It will pop out with ease. Then put the wheels back on the car, and pop in the new caps...
hope it helps

Wait a minute....
....and read this!
Removal of the center caps requires removal of the wheels. Once the wheel is off, there's a metal retaining clip that presses plastic locking tabs into a groove inside the wheel. The retaining clip holds tension against the locking tabs on the center cap. You'll need to remove the clip with a pair of long nosed pliers. Then you can safely pop the wheel center out from the INSIDE of the wheel. Failure to follow this procedure will result in broken tabs.
To put new centers in, simply push them in from the front. The retaining clip presses out against the tabs and the cap on place when the tabs hit their groove. The replacement caps are supplied with new clips. (speaking from experience)

Thanks all for your suggestions. Taking the wheels off was not what I'd hoped to hear. But, at least I won't damage anything. This is a much bigger project than I expected!!!
Thanks again.
