inner cv boot help
Hello, 2006 Mercedes C280 4matic. I am in the process of replacing the inner boot on the front CV axle. I have removed the shaft (outer section) and the stuck on the part that is connected to the transmission. i have tried pry bars and other tools to pull the inner section from the transmisison and it will not come out. i am asking to see what/how anyone got it out. any help appreciated.
also, a bought the A2113300185 cv boot kit from mercedes dealer ($59, yes $59) and the boot comes with a metal lip and can't seem to figure out how that goes on the inner part of the shaft. the one removed does not have this metal piece and has an ear-type clamp.
