Problem When Accelarating

Hey guys

Hope you all are well.

Can anybody maybe shed some light on my predicament.

When I accelarate the car pulls to the right.

Can this be a diff issue?

Warm Regards

Stephan

This sounds like a suspension or alignment issue. When you are just idling forward with your hand off of the steering wheel does it do the same thing? In any case I would recommend checking your front end components or to have it done.

Hi Krazzdav thx for the reply, the only change as of lately is that I pressed in 2 new camber adjusting bushes into the control arm in the front. I personaly checked that they correctly insert the camber bolts (ones with the grooves in the bolt).

On cruise control the car goes perfectly normal.

stephan.roodt since u had the bushings changed it definitely sounds like that's the problem.

Did u get an alignment? Anytime u do front end work the car should be aligned.

Also the bushings had to be pressed in with the correct orientation of the groove to the arm and you do not need the grooved/chamfered bolts unless u lower ur car. If the grooved bolts are used they have to be inserted in the neutral/center position where no camber or caster (depends which arm) is added/subtracted. There are 3 different positions that they can be put in.

Do you only have the problem on hard acceleration or does it happen on a light load also?

Hi Krazzdav, the inside of the camber bush (the one with the 4 grooves inside upper 2 and lower 2) was totaly perished on both sides so I replaced them.

Allignment was done with two new front tyres.

This happens only on hard acceleration.

On the allignment machine it was out and we set it out further to compensate what the machine said to correct the issue.

I always thought there was only 2 settings I see now where the 3rd one is from, thank you krazz.

Cant it be that the one wheel is giving more torque than the other wheel?

Thank you in advance

Pulling under hard acceleration leads me to suspect rear suspension. Some bushings in the rear are as worn as the front ones you replaced, so the rear can shift when you get on it.
