Hi from me, I am new here, but I check many threads about faulty gearbox on w203. I couldn't find my one so I decided to try here and see if anyone had something like this. I drive C270 CDI 52 plate on 125000 miles. Out of this it sometimes stuck and goes in emergency, I know few thinhs. First, probably fluid never has been changed. I'm goimg to do it in a couple of days, but I don't know is it gonna be so simple. My problem is when the car going from 2nd to 3rd gear let say on 2000 rpm its increase stright to about 3500 rpm which feels like its on neutral and jist then goes to 3rd gear. There are no noises from the gearbox or whatever it sound very smooth, but very often does this and of I jump on the accelerator often between second and third gear jumping on neutral and goes to emergency mode. I had a compiter reading it says that rpm sensor read too high rpm. The guy on the garage said its 90% the gearbox electric control module which having both sensors for rpm reading which is juct 210 pounds not a big issue, but also he said there is 10% chance some part on the gearbox to haf spin over and it will cost me a new gearbox. So before istart loading money in lost cause, I would like to know if someone had similar experience, to share what his problem appear to be and shall I start repair it or just sell the car.
