HELP!! 2000 CLK 320 Ghost in the Machine...
Hey folks after hours and hours of online reading, and following some suggestions I'm still stuck with a car thats holding down my driveway. Heres a list with attempts to fix.
Main Issue no starting. Started as a temporary problem (Runs, then gas station won't restart etc)
Good battery, power goes to ignition, replaced CPS (thinking second went bad)
ABS, Electric stability control, Brake lights INOP
-Replaced Brake Control unit under dash, still get these warnings
Stereo, sometimes yes and sometimes no
Finally anyone of a schematic for the Convertible opener? Mine popped open and fell apart it appears to be wound up like a swiss watch.
Well thats it any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated its my one car other than my motorcycle and winter is coming soon...

Hey kspilot,
You are in a wrong forum
As to non-starting issue - does it crank and not start, or doesn't crank?
In the latter case it might be the starter dying. Also check the fuses.

^ So? A CLK is basically a C-class with different panels and interior. He'll probably get better support in this forum than in the CLK forum anyhow.
As VVF said, check starting symptoms. That should be the first thing you look at. However, if starting was intermittent before, I'd almost bet it's your starter. Take your vehicle to an indy and get them to test the starter. Unfortunately, they are kinda pricey. However you could find a rebuilt one for 248 dollars on pelican parts.

Thanks! I did post on to CLK after I saw my mistake, I'm going to take it out tomorrow, is it easy to get to? I'm assuming its under the engine back by the transmission.

On the CLK it's a ****ing PAIN. It'a not complicated, but IIRC you need to remove one of the motor mounts so you can take the starter out. You're supposed to raise the motor a little bit so you can remove said mount, which again, isn't fun.
