Coolant leak
Hi guys,
Two days ago I got a message on my screen stating "Coolant Check Level"
After checking it out, I noticed it was a bit low. I also noticed that around the container, there was liquid.
It's a lot worse than this picture shows as I took the picture today in the morning after the car was running for couple of min.
I also saw the leak around the pipe coming out of the coolant box.
Also going further down, the liquid was seeping here (sorry, for some reason it didnt want to go in portrait mode)
I was going to do a whole flush but since I noticed these leaks, I thought I would observe it for couple of days and see if it indeed is the liquid from the coolant container. Suspicion is correct. I had to refill the coolant tank (used distilled water). I will take it to a shop but I wanted to be informed () before I go in so that the shop doesn't come up with bogus repairs. If there is a DIY, that would be great as well.
Any help on the matter would be great guys.
TIA!!
G
PS: Does anyone have a shop recommendation in the Irvine area? I typically go to Albert in Walnut but recently my schedule has become very busy and going up there, given how busy Albert is as well, is going to be tough. Ty!

It's DIYable...simply drain your coolant, remove and replace the parts. The reservoir is held by a couple of 10mm bolts. Don't forget to replace this $5 part too.. https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...ance-item.html
