While driving, driver side door indicator comes on the dash. Then I can't lock the door with the key. If I lock the latch with my finger then unlock it with the inside door handle, it solves the problem temporarily. I can't even push the lock down manually. Please help.

it maybe your driver door lock electronic switch, that let's the computer know the door position status closed / open, right now the switch is staying in the open position.

Well if the car thinks the door is open the switch may be damaged it is right below the hook the door latches to on the pillar I believe.
