Purge Valve/EGR Cleaning
So my purge valve has been ticking VERY loudly as of late. I can hear it from inside the cabin, and outside it is very obnoxious. I am currently planning to follow the cleaning instructions PDF I found on benzworld in hopes that it alleviates the situation.
However, I am wondering how I can clean the EGR valve. My car has felt a little sluggish as of late, especially at highway speeds so I'm giving this a shot. I have tried searching up and down for a tutorial, to no avail.
Anyone have the details? Would appreciate it greatly!

Just take it out and clean with brake clean and a toothbrush if needed worked great for me on another car. That said I have read that if the EGR valve is having issues cleaning really only buys you time. No clue how true that is though.

I would agree the EGR valve starts to go and then just keeps on going.
Why do you suspect the EGR for the power loss/sluggish feel?
Could be plugs, wires, dirty throttle body, dirty MAF, Dirty air filter, bad gas,......
The list of things that could be wrong is very long for a sluggish feeling car.

Where is the EGR located on this car? I'd like to at least look at it to see how it looks.
Thanks!
