Switch cluster help!
I see there's 2 switches on the cluster that are unassigned and useless. I know its because I'm missing a few features that more elegant MBs have, like heated seats, cell phone connection, etc.
I'd like to find a use for them but I read here that the canbus rail across the cluster puts up to 18v?
And other members having catastrophic problems with this system and I don't wanna f anything up.
Can I run something to the empty switches? Will they change position like the others once I open and Enable them? Obviously they're not fixed are they? Or that would defeat the purpose of being a toggle switch like their neighboring rear shade screen and esp switches.
And finally, how would I remove it from the dash, if possible?

Well, you can always replace that switchrow with a full row. They wouldn't work, but at least it would look better. That's what I did. And if you got the full row, then you could see if you could adapt the contacts to work with whatever else you'd want. You know, oil slick, smokescreen, or ejector seat.
