Audi Wheels on a MB?

Has anyone tried to put Audi wheels (45mm offset) on a MB (35mm offset)? Any problems (rubbing on the frame, brake caliper, or suspension)?

Thanks

i know... it's your car...but, please don't even try this. Something just seems WRONG about doing that. do the wheels say audi on them. if yes, dude, you got problems

i second vince's opinion... i like some audi wheels, but i would never consider putting one on a mercedes or bmw...

i don't know about the offsets - i'd recommend asking Peter at wheelexperts or Luke at tirerack in the wheels forum.

same bolt pattern

audi A4's have the same bolt pattern as the MB's, but I don't know about the offset.

At least that's what my buddy told me when he wanted to put my Brabus rims on his car.

I do like the polished 5-star rims on Audi TT's. It's your car, so do what pleases you. I'm sure you'll get a lot of "don't do it's" from this message thread.

Maybe I should explain

The rims I'm considering are not factory audi rims... I would never put 4 rings on the Benzo! I have a friend who just purchase an used A4. It came with some 18" and its just too flashy for him. I'm wondering if they'll fit my benz... just for some wheels to take to the track, or snow tires, or something to take road trips with...

OK, now what you think?

totally different sifuation. try it and see. it only takes a minute or two to change a wheel.

you should have no trouble with 18's

Not sure about Audi rims on a MB. However, I've seen someone put a set of 18" Carlsson 1/6 Evo on a new Audi A4. Well, like everyone is saying here...its yr car, you can do whatever you want with it....but I just feel strange looking at a A4 with Carlsson wheels on. Wierd!

Yeah, 18" snow tires sound like a good idea.

no offense 18"s are really no good for the track, the snow, or for long trips.

they compromise ride quality (long trips), speed, depending on weight (track) and i dont think they even make 18" snow tires (the wheels tend to be too wide)

18"s are really for looks, unless they are U/L, then they are awesome track tires.

Just try them on. The bolt pattern is the same and depending on the type of rim it might fit. You might need a spacer or somethin elese in there but it should be ok. Make sure that it does not move and it sits flushed to the rotor.

They do have the same bolt pattern, and if you say Audi's offset is 45 and benz's is 35, maybe you might want to use a 10mm spacer. This will make the offset to 35mm.

That's what I think, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Spacers

Yes, spacers are an option. However, I've heard negative things about spacers.
