Do I need this for trans. drain/fill?
I got everything I'll need, but I've also go an Adapter Plug With O-Rings - Transmission Cable to Conductor Plate- not sure if this is needed???

That part is not not necessary to drain and refill the transmission. It is outside the transmission housing and should be replaced if it's leaking or to prevent leaks if it hasn't been changed before.

Thx, but now I'm still confused. If it hasn't been replaced before are you saying it will need to be replaced? How likely is the old one to leak in the future?

Good idea to replace it as a preventative measure since the O-rings can leak over time. These are known to leak and if / when they do, oil can get into the plug and go up the plug wires causing problems.
Last time I changed my fluid (2 weeks ago), I tried to change out this part but couldn't remove the plug that was plugged into it even after releasing the collar. I'll try again in the Spring. Mine wasn't leaking though so I still am OK.
Once you release the collar and unplug the plug, this adapter is attached to the conductor plate with a 7mm hex bolt. You need to remove the bolt from the center of the adapter before you try to wiggle it out.
