W204 with aftermarket dvd and display - no sound !
Hi there!
I hope this is the right forum section for posting this kind of issue i'm about to present to you.
I recently bought for a w204 c250 cgi an aftermarket w204 compatible display with dvd unit for glovebox, as follows :

Now the original APS Comand is connected to the aftermarket display (which works flawlessly), and so is the glovebox dvd, which connects to Comand by APS's AUX entry.
The problem is that no sound comes when Comand is switched to AUX so the DVD can play, tried any connection possible, and still cannot figure it out.
The display has a built-in sd card slot and tried to play some mp3s but also there is no sound coming out from the speakers, even if when the display shows the track playing, so I figured that it's not a problem with the dvd unit.
When I switch to radio from APS everything works fine.
I went to 3 MB dealerships and they couldn't sort things out, instead they proposed an unorthodox method for resolving this issue, by installing a FM modulator, solution i didn't accept, obviously.
I'm asking you, kind sirs, what could be the problem, why is there no sound coming from the AUX (or maybe why is the signal coming from the dvd by comand AUX not being compatible with the APS).
Another opinion was that of which the aftermarket dvd + display needed activation by STAR DIAG for the CAN communication, but sadly no one from the MB dealerships knew about a thing as such..
