hmmm... are u sure they can't bend it down a little? I would take it to a muffler shop and see before you start cutting away at your bumper... all they have to do is adjust the hangers like someone else recommended...

I think it'll look ugly if you keep bending down the muffler. Are you sure they can't just lower the muffler? I believe it hangs on these rubbery things.

If that doesn't work I'd just cut the bumper. Looks too strange to have a muffler pointing downwards that much.

when I had my Shaetz tip we tried to bend the tip, it was tough, because its Stainless and by trying them it could come out from the muffler itself, remember you are bending a short tip so the tension is right there. And by lowering the muffler IMO its going to be much uglier than tip pointing down a little. then when you hit the bump it will be jumping and hit the bumper

Just got my AMG footrest. The plate itself is 6mm thick. Screws are 19mm long. What am I drilling into? What's underneath the carpet that secures it? Metal? Tried to post pic, but system won't accept file sizes over 1 byte???

I think there was some diagram that showed that are indeed wires or something under the dead pedal. Not sure where I saw that. I know some people have just glued the plate onto the carpet or something. I dunno.

Hi mj50, are your wheels 17 or 18"? And I know you were wanting to get the Eibach pro-kit, what made you decide on the H&R's? I'm also afraid to lower the car too much, but your ride looks perfect!

Btw, do the #4 pads lower the car more in the rear?
Thanks!

Pad #4 is the thickest. To lower it more, one needs #1.

they are 17s...
i decided to go with H&R cuz if i'm gonna spend same amount of money, might as well go with nicer look. i still have about 5" of ground clearance... haven't had any problems yet... if u have front lip or sport bumper, u will have slightly less clearance...
