possible to force AC on in cold weather?
In my BMW there is a seperate AC on/off button to keep AC compressor on in any weather, but in my new c230 there isn't such a button, only an AC off button. and when it rains, the windows get all fogged up quickly.
thanks!
Is there a way to have it on constantly, without blowing at full blast?
Yes but when you hit the defrost button, it blows wind at the hottest setting and at full blast.

When they get a chance to unpack and once they find the manual, they will mail it to me. But until then, I'm SOL, since MB does not provide manuals online like BMW.
I'll parapharse the manual here. The knob on the right side of the controls is for air distribution. There are four pictograms spaced at 90 degrees around it. At the top is an up arrow. Turning the knob to that position will direct air to the windshield, side defroster, and rear passenger vents. On the lefts is a pictogram of two joined rectangles. In this position air goes the the dashboard center, side, and top (triangular) vents, and the rear passenger vents. Below the knob is a down arrow. In this position the air goes to the floor vents, rear footwell vents and the rear passenger vents.
The controls must be in the manual mode. That means the light on the Auto button must be off. The light on the EC or AC OFF buttom must be on. Set the knob at any position between the two rectangles clockwise to the down arrow to direct various amounts of air to the windshield vents. For the maximum amount of air to the windshield the knob should be set to the up arrow, obviously.
Now control the fan speed with the left knob.
