e class puddle lights work now
I installed E class mirrors. complete with electronic folding, euro glass, cleaer blinker lights, and a puddle light on the bottom of the mirror assy. I just rewired it and works great. More practical that the one under the door. Will post pictures later.

according to the e class forum, the lights are both in the side view mirror and under the door so I am going to wire both of them up and let you all know how it goes.

It is NOT possible to wire both the door puddle light and the mirror puddle light together. The door control module does not put enough voltage out and the lights keep blinking. Similar to the xenon problem many have expierenced. I wired both to the mirrors instead.

On The W211 E-class the light in the door is on when the door is open and the light in the mirror comes on as soon as the door is closed...and the mirror light is off when the door is open and the light in the door is off when the door is closed...
