C230 Speaker Grill

C230k Speaker Grill
Does anyone have experience replacing the driver side speaker grill (plastic speaker cover) towards the back for a 2003 C230k sports coupe? Does it require to take apart the whole door panel?
My dealer wants to charge $150 for labor to replace it, does it sound reasonable?

MBWorld Fanatic!
Mine broke on the passenger side. The searbelt latch got jammed between the door and the seat, and put a big hole in the
speaker grill.
Thanfully my SA was cool.
He sent it in as a fault of the seatbelt not retacting properly.
So, they also replaced the seatbelt mechanism, which took forever, since they couldn't get the right connector.
SO...tell them that it's not your fault, it's a warranty issue with the seatbelt. If your SA give you any crap, talk to the service manager, and/or ask for a different SA.
Took me a while, but I now have a really good SA. I tell him what I want fixed, and he just says OK. He's on my side.
The previous guy tried to say EVERYTHING was my fault on some other issues, ie damaged plastic pieces in the trunk, and my response was that the trunk peices were inadequate for the job.
I now have a 2 piece folding plywood piece to futher protect it, now that they replaced everything in the trunk, all new parts.
Cool huh?

Thank for the advice. I don't think it'll work, but it's worth a try. I felt most of the people who work for MB or BMW are mostly greedy... trying to make their customers to overpay...
