low gas & malfunction

low gas & malfunction
well, one small mystery solved.
i was low on gas today - into the reserve (again) and as i was flipping thru the screens to see what my range was, i noticed that i had 1 malfunction. when i look into that, it was the low gas warning. i think this explains why i saw a 1 malfunction indication a while ago when i started the car up but then it disappeared later...
is low gas a malfunction?

Personally, I think it's a plus.
As far as your car goes, yes, it gets you a malfunction. And, if you cycle the display past it, I think that there's something in the background that shows that you still have a malfunction until you gas up.

Young, I too ran the gas down to such a low level that I got a malfunction. Not sure why the low gas warning is considered a malfunction, but I like the nice "big" warning that you get.

Correct-a-mundo, tommy. I've noticed that the low gas reminder is logged as a malfunction, too. I think this is good actually... as often as I run my car below 1/4 tank...
