Nav can't read DVD

I upgraded the disc in my car to the 2012 v9.0 from the 2006 version. My software updates, but my nav says it can't read the disc. Am I missing something??? Also, I can't go back to the previous disc because the system says that it's older than the software that's installed.

OEM disc or a copy? Is your nav unit factory installed or upgrade?
You can try reset to default (serv-system-reset)
I went from 2006 to 2011 v8 without any issues...

The disc is the OEM & the head unit is factory for the car. I'll try the reset option to see if that helps.

I have same issue! I don't use anymore because of it, just use my phone nav. Does resetting work for you? I don't want to erase everything if it doesn't help haha.

The problem with dvd based nav is that the disc itself can really mess things up if it's scratched or corrupted. If a reset does not work, consider purchasing a newer nav disc, in your case 2013 v10, since you can't use the current disc or an older disc. This will force your nav to overwrite the 2012 disc that messed things up.
