w203 c200k catalytic converter
Hello everyone!
I have mb w203 c200k m111 engine. A few days ago, check engine light on my car is on. Diagnostic says, catalytic convertor not in function. Is that mean that catalityc convertor is gone dead,or what? Can someone please tell me part number for original catalytic converter and for the aftermarket one also. Sorry for my bad english. My regards.

Ok,thank you. I will check on their website for catalytic convertor. One more question,if I remove catalytic convertor and somehow shut off signal from o2 sensor. What will happen with fuel consumption if I do that? My regards!

Out Of Control!!
Yes, I've had years of success with my Magnaflow on my M111, and it was about $1100 cheaper than the OEM replacement.
Interesting second question. My guess is that the car would go into limp mode, and the ecu would pick a "safe" air/fuel mixture until everything got hooked up again, but I wouldn't recommend doing it.

You're right, Tommy. If the O2 sensor is disconnected, you get check engine light and a code. If the sensor ahead of the cat is out, the ECU will probably go to limp home mode. Not sure what the sensor after the cat would do to its operation. In my case the cat itself is shot, so the downstream sensor sends the dirty value causing the error message. Upstream sensor still controls air/fuel ratio OK.
But the rescue dog has a couple more pressing issues -- cat is down the list a way.
