2006 mercedes benz c230 sport
My display reads malfunction proceed to workshop
After starting my 2006 c230 I noticed my dash display read "display malfunction proceed to workshop, as I drove home I noticed that my speedometer, digital speed reading and Cruz control were also non functioning as well. Has anyone had anything like this happen to them or have any idea as to what the problem may be. Thanks in advance for the help!

I don't have any idea why your cluster is acting up, but the multiple malfunctions point to a common fault. I'd say disconnect the battery for a few minutes, just the neg terminal. There is also a cluster reset feature in star DAS, if you can get hooked up to one at an indy.

If I had any money, I'd put it on the front SAM being the culprit. But RWD does give a good suggestion; maybe it's just a glitch. I hope you have some pennies saved up, just in case.

Weak ground is a common problem in aging cars, I'd check the ground for the instrument cluster -- under the dash somewhere which makes it a pain to work.
Another possibility is the connector to the cluster itself. Less likely on these cars, but it's the weak link in my old Chevy.
