stiff power steering and multiple error flags
Hello good people. Please advice: I have tried 4 power steering pumps and done a bleed out of my power steering rack yet I have a stiff steering especially when trying to manouver in a parked position. Also there are errors: bas, srs, esp, abs; I understand some sensors signal the tyres and the steering and all; it seems this is beyond the power steering pump; can I consider the steering angle sensor? Can someone advice me on where to get oem parts; I know its on ebay; any other more reliable source? Should I make this investment in parts? The esp module, the steering sensor? Thanks.

Hi there. How stiff is the steering exactly? Mine is pretty stiff as well, but I've talked to several W203 owners and they all said the car was meant to have a somewhat heavy steering feel. As for the error codes, I have no idea. Mine has the SRS code, which I'm still trying to figure out.

its very stiff when manouvering parked
I don't believe it should be as stiff as it feels; its a benz! It's almost like turning 60lbs+! This happens when I'm trying to say; make a reverse out a parking lot; imagine you're turning your wheels as you're in a position so you can move out. I have tried other older cars from say toyota; they are soft! This should be better; MB says that we should be able to turn the wheel with a finger when still. Someone on another forum says it could be voltage issues, electrical you know; so the power steering pump isn't optimal; I'm considering going for an electrical assessment.
