What is this? When the car is running its making a ticking noise. its not too loud, but slightly noticeable with the hood closed.


and if its making that noise, should it be replaced or is its normal?

purge valve you can replace it if it bothers you but they all tick some worse than others. You can try to move it around a little mine got loud once and I moved it a little and it was quiet again till i sold the car with 215k on it lol

thank you guys! I might replace it, I have a oil leak somewhere up top of the motor. its kind of bad, it hits the manifolds and burns the oil so might as well replace it when they fix whatever is causing the leak!
