trouble with steering wheel radio volume after removal.
Hey all.
I have a 2006 C230 with factory radio. Last weekend I removed the stock radio to do a little work behind the dash. Upon completion of work I reattached the stereo connections and reinstalled the factory system.
However, once I finished and went driving I noticed the steering wheel volume buttons no longer work. They worked fine before. All of the other steering wheel buttons work. Is there a connection or something I missed when reinstalling the stereo?

Was taking the radio out and going to install a free aftermarket one from a friend who no longer had his c230. However, Once I got the factory radio out I didn't like the look of the after market unit so I just put the original back. Everything works great except the steering wheel volume adjustment.
Can't think of what I did wrong? I put everything back in place.

1st law of mechanics, if it worked before and doesn't now,
you need to pull it apart and see where you messed up.
Reseat all your connections.
Test it BEFORE you put the dash back together.

Yeah, tearing it back apart was my plan.
I just can't figure it out. I took pics for reference so I knew where everything went back to and I "thought" I attached everything same as before. I guess the wire or wires that control the steering wheel volume buttons must have become disconnected somehow when I put the unit back together.
