Should glow plugs be covered under (3 year) warranty in UK?
C220 CDi, registered May 2001. I've owned car less than one year.
One glow plug needs replacing at 22k miles. Local MB dealer says glow plugs count as wear and tear and aren't covered - "as per light bulbs" was their analogy. Their estimates are 80ukp to replace one, 150ukp for all four. I'll get it done elsewhere but would expect this work to be covered.

I doubt they be covered they are wear and tear items, however my c220 diesel never got to a service cos it blew up
Thanks for the prompt reply, and sorry for not responding sooner. Got the plug replaced at an independant for fraction of cost. Looks fine so far!
