I have taken it to the dealer, to a generic mechanic, and to MBZ a well recommended shop and they can't seem to find the problem.
They looked at my pads and the discs and they say it is fine.
I just know that it is dangerously weak. One MBZ guy said it is probably because I have aftermarket springs... I doubt it.
I read about a "brake booster" going bad? Could that be it?
Help.

The car's springs will have no effect on the feel of the brakes -- you don't need any more of that guy's help.
Check all the brake hoses to see if they are getting soft enough to swell under pressure.
Flush the brake fluid so you're working with clean fresh brake fluid.

As they said check the brake hoses after a period of time the rubber hoses expand and flex making them soft. I recommend getting SS brake lines. You can feel the difference.

Like KSKarl says,.... "Flush the brake fluid so you're working with clean fresh brake fluid"
Brake fluid needs to be changed every 2 years, regardless of mileage driven in that time period. Over time brake fluid absorb water and could create rust problem in master cylinder. Spongy brake could indicate air bubbles in your brake fluid line,.... how did air get in there? Rust or leak somewhere in your brake system - check your brake fluid reservoir level.

Yeah, bleed the brakes, new fluid.
If the booster was bad, it would either be leaking and hissing itself, or
a hose leading to it would be bad, and leaking.
What kind of pads do you have?
