A/C and AUTO Light Inoperative after EIS Replacement
Hey all,
I recently had the pleasure of having to get my car towed to our nearby dealer for a new battery, new key, and new EIS. Before the EIS failed, everything else in the car worked fine, A/C blew cold, no warning messages. I get the car back and the first thing I see is "AUTO Light Inoperative" and the A/C is grossly lukewarm on the max cooling setting.
I don't have much knowledge on how these systems are interrelated, is there any way that either of these issues could be from something that happened during the replacement of the EIS? Would love to know before I call and talk very politely with the service manager. Thanks!

Took it back to the dealer, but they claim that there's no connection between the EIS and the errors i'm seeing and they want to charge me to diagnose the problems.

Ask to speak to the shop foreman about it. Your EIS absolutely has relevant climate control settings in it and a lot of them need to be checked they are coded to the right things for what your car has.

Well it turns out it WAS the reprogramming from the EIS.
I'm actually still battling the poor programming the car received after the EIS was replaced, though. Our headlight "Auto" function doesn't work and the "Off" function does not work when the car is on. I thought I could live with it for a few months and had them check it during the Service B, not sure if they actually did anything this time around... such is life.
