You may have more than 4.5V volt on fuel tank pressure sensor, normal voltage should be 2.38 to 2.98V,,

maybe pressure sensor went bad, or there is more pressure or vacuum in fuel tank..!

I have the same faulty part. The dealer ran my CEL and told me it was a B28 Pressure sensor. After many phone calls and searches, it seems the correct part is a Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor. The parts counter gave me
A 163 542 28 18. There's one big problem though. I can't find where to install the damn thing. Ive been searching and searching and nothing. I've pulled both the delivery unit and the sending unit from the tank under the rear seat and found nothing. EPCNet Online shows the part for my car, but no specific location. Wife's car is a 2004 C240 sedan Base. ANY help is VERY much appreciated !!!

Thank you

Check under rear [passenger side] wheel well. Remove wheel and plastic liner. You will see fuel filler neck and fuel related components.

Thank you for the reply. I just removed the wheel well liner and don't see the sensor there. I am at an independent shop right now and they are going to diagnose it. They say the car may not even have that part on it. It may be built into he fuel pump/sending unit. I'll keep ya posted
