Not in mine at least. The front part of the sunroof actually moves forward and up to create a wind blocker.

I notice some slight wind noise around 45mph and close the roof to the first position(where just the back part is popped up). The wind deflector works well at low speeds, but I've never ventured to drive at highway speed with the top open.
Perhaps it quiets down around 65?

I find the sunroof on the C230 open to first position works awsome at 80MPH, the ideal 6th gear cruising speed (3,000 RPM).
Of course, I have NEVER previously experienced that myself.

If you lower the windows a little bit you can stop all the buffetting. It isnt that bad in the first place though. It is also speed dependant, so change your speed a little bit and it also goes awwy.

80MPH with the fully open is no problem, so I have heard. There is severe buffeting with the roof fully open at 40 to 45, when it starts to diminish. Lowering a window slightly or partially closing the roof eliminates the buffeting.

The sunroof buffeting is no real problem to me. I am off the opinion if it is warm enough outside to open sunroof then open your windows too. If company is in car you either dont open it all the way or roll down windows a bit.
