Caught this car yesterday on Instagram. Googled W203 flares this morning and your car came up. I'm inspired. Don't know if I've got the ***** to put the flares on but I'm certainly interested as to where you found them. Are these the universal type that you've made work or were these something specific.
Anyway, love the car and the effort to make it different. Well done.

Appreciate it! Means alot bro!

Haha yea I was VERY nervous, but it turned out alright.

Yup, they're universal ZG Flares that I modified alittle bit to have everything line up properly.

Also, here's another pic of the car with the 2.5" flares from last year for those of you who like this look more (not gonna lie I still consider doing 2.5" again at times)

I like the 2.5" flares better I think. Are you still running 305's with the 2" flare?

yea, I did the 2" flares with 305s last spring.

Then I did the 4" flares over summer and still have them on today.

Its still the same 305s with the 4" but the now wheels looked sunked in.

So basically I need to get wider wheels if I want to fill out the 4" flares which I am currently trying to do

Wow, it looks fast. I think the style would be so cool,
but it saddens me that it's a 240.

None the less, I know how it is, once you get started, it's hard to stop!
But with C32's going for 6 grand and C55's for around the same price,
it just kills me you don't have more power to match the looks.
I bet it would really haul around the track.
You could throw a Kleeman SC kit in there...might cost as much as another car though.

But then, look at me, I spent easily 10 grand on mods 'back in the day' fixing up a 4 banger... so who am I to talk... he he.
I've put easily another 100K miles since I "finished" and have loved every
mod I did.

As for Mr. 7 posts with his Hyundai.... bwuh huh ah ha!
Sadly mbworld doesn't have an asshat icon!
Benzworld does though.

@C230 Sport Coup
lol it really is sad at times. But I guess thats what happens when you're young, get mad impatient

Its not all bad though, if a C32 swap costs as much as C32 I could get a C32 and swap the parts over.

Then maybe sell the 240 as a show car so I end up spending the same amount either way

OR

I could go all out and do something like a LS swap

Very nice! Love the fender flair look. That rear is very aggressive.

Love this car, what's the Instagram name to under? Haha

Also! Where did you get your side markers? I think the blue on my car would look awesome with some blacked out lights in the sides and back!

Hey just started a similar build myself , just wondering how you got those z06 rims on there ? What kind of adapters ? And is the center bore 70.3 ? Only adapter i can find is 5x112 to 5×120 center bore 72.6 or 74.1

@gotReef ? watsup dude- brought back an oldie hahaha

Was just checking my email and got a notification like oh ****ttttt MBWorld! Anyway hope everyone is doing well and staying safe

The adapters are just regular billet aluminum pieces 5x112 to 5x120 to match the C6Z Wheels

They're not hubcentric to the car - they had a center bore of like 70.3mm bore (iirc).
-Either way it doesn't matter because I used plastic hubcentric rings to make them fit perfectly snug +hubcentric (66.6mm for the W203)
-No vibrations to 120-130ish as long as you bolt the wheels AND adapters using the 5 star pattern.
-Remember to start with the bottom lug to counter the effect of gravity pulling the adapter down.

yeah no worries- I'll do my best to check here every now and then. Car's gotten alot of love

Congrats on the buy Thats dope, you should definitely have some fun with it

I couldn't find the link right now but its not complicated to buy the right adapters. They're universal, you just need to make sure the ones you buy fit your car and the specific wheels you are putting on.
-First step is to figure out the thickness of the adapter/offset. You can do this by holding the wheel however far out you want it, then measuring the distance from wheel backpad to the car's wheel hub (this will be your desired adapter thickness)
-Try to be accurate, so you don't order a set of adapters and realize they're just a lil too thin or a lil too much.
-If it helps you could also use 1" thick pieces of wood to measure the distance between the wheel and the car's hub while you hold the wheel at the distance you want.

Another trick is to buy 1 single adapter first and make sure it all goes together + lines up how you want it to.

Then when you're ready order the remaining/full set to save $$$ and back and forth.
-You can order adapters online from Adaptec (looks like they're called motorsport tech now) or any other shop that makes wheel adapters.
-Many of these wheel adapter shops also have online ebay stores that you can buy from. If you PM them they'll even build you custom adapters to the exact spec you want.

Keep in mind you will probably need new lug bolts for the adapters (can't use OEM bolts because adapters typically use conical/cone type seats..just like aftermarket wheels).
-Also always make sure the adapter fits flat and flush to the car's hub- when you take the adapter off it should be dirty on the back from making contact with hub.
-If it doesn't sit flush on the hub you might run into some serious issues with lug bolts/nuts back off and wheels falling off

Thanks again for the reply man , Throwing lots of knowledge at me , saving me lots of research time ! much appreciated again .after checking out adaptec i will definitely be ordering from them .
Im acually looking to do the exact same wheel setup you had , so thats why i asked for the same adapters and what not , going for more of a stanced daily grocery getter rather then a speed build .
