Cleaning fuzzy fabric area under door armrest?

If you have a C you know what im talking about, the fuzzy black fabric area under door armrests. Whats the best way you have found to clean the lint and dust off? The rear deck could benefit from a similar cleaning technique...

I tried a lint brush, the one that you run in one direction and it lifts off the dust...it did not work well. Maybe the rolling tape ?

Strong, sticky tape should do, at least for the really stubborn crap.
