PLEASE HELP, OVERHEATING ISSUE

alright, where do i begin.... i have a 2005 C230. i was getting oil in my coolant for a while and then one day it poof, just started over heating. I have since replaced the radiator, water pump, thermostat, and most recently head gasket. im at a loss of what the overheating issue can be. the fan kicks on, and my temp meaures between 80 and the next line up, or at the next line, sometimes it will stay there for about 45 minutes and then just go straight to hot. my reservoir is boiling, but my radiator is ICE COLD. seems like there is a clog somewhere, but i just cant find it to save my life. Ive been at this repair for about a month and im at the point of desparation. is there something that i am missing that is causing this? any and all help is appreciated. just to help with my knowledge level, although this is the first mercedes ive taken apart like that, its not the first car, as i have many high HP builds and had a shop for a while. this is just racking my brain that i cant figure out the issue, especially after i just spent all this time and money replacing what i thought for SURE was a faulty head gasket. thanks in advance folks.

Did you burp/vacuum out the cooling system? Kind of sounds like there might be an air pocket somewhere.

i have no way to vacuum it out, did the best i could to burp it though. had water going everywhere it was supposed to, put a hose in my reservoir, opened the drain on the radiator, had it running and let that cycle for around 20 minutes. then closed the drain, kept the hose running, nothing works. now ive developed a nasty oil leak from it heating and cooling so many times. looks like its coming from the front main seal.

That's too bad...
Another thing could be the thermostat, although it's new, and supposed to fail open.
Have you tried running it without the thermostat? Do the radiator/pipes get warm then?
