Are the hvac flaps suppose to be like this? VIDEO

Hey guys, So the normal hvac issues which I thought was the
linkages and it's not. They look new.
However, I still get the clicking so I'm thinking it's the motors
but before I replace the motors look at these flaps...

VIDEO

Think some new motors will be able to power past that
or is that common and not a problem?

Alright so since I didn't get a single reply I bought 4 motors
and hoped for the best.
Got all 4 in there and 3 of the 4 work and got the clicking gone!

The one that doesn't work still appears to be the connector for the motor
since I was able to get it to work a couple times for a couple of seconds
by wiggling the connector. I tried on several of the motors to make sure it
wasn't the motor.

So, where can I buy the harness for the hvac flap motors in the front....

Found this harness, I only messed with the front 4 motors. Hopefully the rest work ok, I don't hear any clicking or anything.
I guess I could cut and solder the connector on there since I wont be able to get the rest of the harness replaced I don't think without removing the dash.

Also the air on the driver side is a bit warmer than the passenger side and they are both
set to Low... What could this be. I didn't not remove the actual dash itself as I did
not see anyone elses diy do it. It appears just these front 4 motors are the only ones accessible

Once to quit putzing around with the flap motors--put a set of gages on--should be 220 high and 30 low---what's your values!! In any event sounds like you have a leak and are low on refrig!!

Thank you for replying.

It's for my friends car so I'll let him know he needs to have it charged.

Still not sure about this motor connector,
Would I be ok to buy the harness and cut / Solder the new connector in?
I made sure it wasn't the motor by swapping it with a good one.

Is it just 3 wires like it appears/feels?

Thanks

If it were me and before I cut anything I would go to a dealer and ask if the connector and the blade ends are available as part numbers--if they were then I would remove the old wires(may require special tools) to determine why the intermittant voltage flow and then repair!!

Mercedes doesn't offer it in just the connector. It's the whole harness.
So I bought that used harness and I'm going to try and swap the connector over without cutting it first. Hopefully that's a possibility.
