true story: rat in the engine
my friend has a 2001 c320 and she told me the car wont start a week ago. when she starts it makes chugging sound and the onboard say engine default.
on the weekend she to mb to get fix it turned out MICE had made a nice NEST inside the engine...how funny is that and the mice had eaten up some electrical harness...
but what is more wack is that since damages done by MICE is not under warranty she got charged for 600 bucks. the harness only cost 25 bucks and the rest goes to labor.

My buddy in Costa Mesa had a Possum living in the engine compartment of his Eldarado. Same thing, wouldn't start, so he opened the hood...damn thing rears up, hisses at him and then hides somewhere under the car. Chewed through the battery cable.
The car was sitting for a while, and he wanted to sell it.

Had a rabbit under the hood of my wifes old Plymouth Acclaim. Ate 3 of the four plug wires from boot to boot and a headlight wire. I found it a week later and it jumped right at me. The little *******, so I put some moth ***** under the hood as well as sprayed all the wiring with something, I am not sure what it was now. Never came back. They hate moth ***** and I think it was an oil or grease of some kind I sprayed on. They did not like that either so we did not have anymore problems.
