So the lamination is peeling in the corner of the face of the radio. I'm SOOOO tempted to peel it off, but will it come off clean or look effed up??

I doubt you will get it all off and make it look good. That said I would look up the price for a replacement from a junkyard/ebay or something. If it was not so bad as to kill me then I would remove it from the car and go to town trying to fix it. If it went well yay if it didn't new unit would be on its way soon... Or just use this as a sign from MB god's who can't make parts to get the nav unit instead... well at least that's what you tell the wife/gf/parents/whatever.
