I recently purchased my first Mercedes a 2002 c240 the car will not crank/start and will not come out of park any one else have this problem

 

What diagnostic work have you done so far?
Code reads, battery voltage check and so on....

Why are you trying to take it out of park if it won't start? For diagnostic work or has this been an issue since before the no start issue?
If you read your owners manual it will tell you how to manually override the shift lock and then you can try to start it in neutral.

How many miles are on the car and what has been the recent maintenance?
