can someone check a VIN for 07 C230 balance shaft range?
Thinking about getting a Mercedes again. There is a low mileage 2007 C230 Sport AMG package I am interested in. VIN WDBRF52H17F896773.

Read Rudeney's post. So far every car in the MY2006 and below are in the range of balance shaft failures but it is rare, MY2007 is beyond the range, as the last engines that rolled out with the problem was in 2006.

It looks like some 2007's may be included. As someone who paid to have mine replaced, I would hate for someone to do the same.
