Price of spring install?
The W203 has an annoying rear spring setup, where you have to gain access to the strut tops through the trunk.
If you are knowledgable with cars, then IMO you should do it yourself.

Any "do-it-yourselfers" in the bay area want to do the install for me for a low low price?

yeah the same people that cut my spring.. is there a difference between installing a spring and cutting one? please let me know whats the difference is? and s4iscool i dont recall opening your trunk to gain access to the spring? it is quit easy to do if you have the proper tools..
Do a search on google for "bad cutting springs" Mainly you are destroying the designed sping rate, and if they are progressive in nature, you are wacking away coils that make that very spring "progressive" This will screw up your handling as well as the ride...boing boing...it can be very dangerous as well if that spring snaps from the added pressure.
I doubt the c32 is different, but you have to open the trunk and pull the lining out to access the stut tops. I cant seee how you could remove them if you dont get access from the trunk.
Also, i would never let a shop touch my car for suspension install if they were the ones that advocate and actually cut coils off customer cars.
the rear springs can be taken out from the bottom without going through the trunk ... the rear springs sit in a cuplike thing and is not sitting on the strut.. i took mine out without going through the trunk .. the front is different ..as the front sits with the strut ..correct me if im wrong ..
That's a fairly common setup, most Honda's/Acura's are setup that way.
