M112 Oil Pressure Gauge Install Question

I'm interested in possibly adding an oil pressure gauge to my '03 C320, but I have a few questions.

I was reading about the Oil Pressure Test Port on these cars leaking frequently and began to wonder if there was a way to install a permanent oil pressure gauge in the cabin from this connection? If not this connection, is there some other way to set something like this up? It seems like a pretty major oversight for a car to not have at the very least a sensor to detect low oil pressure, I know the car has oil level sensors (which haven't been terribly reliable for me) but I would feel a lot better knowing if I had any oil pressure problems before any damage is done.
