how to manually close window
2005 c230
my drivers side front window regulator is apparently broken and the window is half-way down.
I read quite a few posts about replacing it, but how do I get it to stay all the way up (closed) until I can get it fixed? I removed the door panel, thanks to some other great posts, but I can only push up the window part of the way.
Any help would be appreciated.

You could remove the window from the regulator and then tape/secure it in the up position. Obviously I assume you want it up to be able to park it outside so security would be non existent lol
I know in most cars you have to put the window down part way to remove the regulator so be careful as if you get it up and it stays longer than 4 hours you may need to seek medical attention...oh wait wrong thing....

Thanks. Yes, I want to be able to drive it with the window closed. I need air conditioning in North Carolina this time of year. Does that mean i would have to drill out the rivets on airbag to be able to remove the window from the regulator?

To be honest I have never looked closely at a w203 window regulator system (not a common failure)
I know that to fix the door lock you have to remove the air bag as it is in the way. You could check out the DIY guide for that and see if you can tell from the pictures what you would have to do. But I have a felling you will have to do that.
A little warning when you unplug the air bag do not put the key in the ignition until it is reinstalled as otherwise you will have to use star to reset the system (most dealers charge an hour labor to do this or you need to find an indy or someone like me that has one.) Also if you don't use rivits to reinstall make sure to use very high quality bolts with lock washers and hell i would even use loctite.
