'01 C320 Fuel door stuck
Hey Folks,
Well I've got the dreaded fuel door stuck problem yesterday. Luck enough I was near home with just fumes in the tank.
Looked at the other fuel door threads and consulted the owners manual, pulled over the side panel in the trunk looking for the emergency release button/lever. I'm not finding it!
What I do see are several electronic components in my way and seemingly no way to reach around them (not sure what they are but, my car has the optional ancient phone system and GPS).
Anybody else encounter this?

Thanks Samaritrey,
Got the left side panel completely removed. But, I still can't see it or reach the it.
I got the door open! (but, problem is not fixed). I was able to jamb a thin metal bar into the crack where the lock is. And move the pin back a millimeter at a time and it opened. With that I hit the gas station and filled it to the brim.
Afterwards, I lubed up the pin and it seemed to lock and unlock perfectly. (But, I still left the door open all night). In the morning, the pin does not retract unless I give it a little wiggle. But, that won't work if the door is closed.
Guess I'm going to have to remove some of that electronics in the trunk to find and replace that actuator some time soon.

Just bend the fuel door in a little and it won't go into the latch.
Left side panel? isn't it on the right?
It should be visible with the paneling off but I haven't done it in a few years.
