San Jose/Bay Area service advisor?
I bought my '04 C230 sedan in SoCal, but live in San Jose, so I'm looking for a good service advisor in the area because I plan to do all my service/warranty work locally. If anyone can recommend some good service advisors at particular dealerships in the area, I'd really appreciate it. Also, if you've had bad experiences with certain service advisors that I should steer clear of, please let me know as well. Thanks!

just don't use ford congleton from symthe. brought in my car a couple of days after my first year of ownership to fix a plugged windshield nozzle (never worked from the beginning) and wanted to charge $200 bucks to do the work. said that the nozzle only had a one year warranty and you're over it by a couple of days. what a ripoff considering i bought 3 cars from them in a 3 year timeframe.
went over to gus @autobahn and they fixed it w/o any problems or hassles.

just got my car last weekend at BESHOFF MOTORCARS. at 3000 east capitol expressway, san jose ca 95148...
they really nice. and helpful. like there's little part have to fix it , i call the saler, dont' have to make appointment, and only take few hours. like other dealer told me it may take more than a day to fix it....have to make appointment....etc..
or maybe cuz i just bought the car there,

I take my car to Robert Paris there. I bought and took my car to Smythe but they always seemed to keep my car there for more than a day. Said they had to order parts and didn't ask if I wanted to take my car home while I waited. He's good to his customers. like the last post says, they have a fast turn around. From my experience with them.

Autobahn in Belmont
I've been to most of the reputable places in the Bay: beshoff, smythe, san francisco, oakland, and belmont...hands down thus far, is Autobahn in Belmont.
Why? Simple:
They are the biggest service center of all the dealerships in the bay.
I have Brabus modifications and they have 3 Brabus Master technicians who work exclusively on Brabus cars...kinda makes me feel like a VIP
People aren't snobs like smythe...I get a nice hello from everyone.
Parts dept is super helpful, don't have the part number or name of the part off the top of your head? No probs, they frickin looked through the entire C class inventory to find what I was talkin about.
New, nice MB cars for loaners...I got an E500 last time, but I think it's just coz my family has bought so many vehicles from them

So can I just go to any dealer to get my 10,000 mile checkup? I got my 2003 coupe at Smythe last year and they were cool (the salesman), but Autobahn is the same distance from my home, basically, and if their service is as stellar as claimed.... then doggone it, I am going to go there, maybe...
Does one receive less privileges when going to another dealer for service?
Thanks guys.

Call Autobahn and ask them what they will do for you in order to win your service business.

I bought my '03 C320 from Autobahn because my Father-In-Law got his '01 CLK430 there and raved about the service. I cracked the windshield on my C at about 1000 miles (damn freeway pebble ) and Autobahn did a great job replacing it, although I can't remember who my SR was. I'll edit this post when I dig up the paper work. My 10,000-mile service is coming up soon so I'll post how things go with that as well.
