widescreen DVD COMAND
Steve, or anyone out there that might have more info on this... WHat's up with the Japanese getting all the goods? Will this be available for U.S or Eurpope in the 2005 models? Any luck getting the Japan model to work in a car in the US?

The Japanese people always get the good stuff...The japanese W203s have widescreen DVD comands for almost 2 years from factory...with integrated digital TV tuner and 12 CD changer control...the rest of the world just gets whatever is less cool...
Here is a picture I took (a long) while ago...
On top - the regular W203 US/Euro spec comand - bottom right - the CD rom based W203 Japanese comand (much nicer graphics in every single menu) and - bottom left - Japanese spec W203 DVD comand...

Look half way down, the nav I'm talkin about looks like the current NAV but widescreen and with buttons above and below the screen.
I believe the Nav posted on the forum above will release with the 2005 C models (C55)
