steering column removal
Hi,
Does anybody know how to remove the steering column from the W203?
I have the manual moving column and want to replace it with an electric one. Does anybody know the steps to removing the whole column?
I've searched and haven't found any information regarding this.
I have an electric steering column still on my C32, so I would need to take that out and put it in the C240.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Yes, the exchange rate has really just gone to ****s..
I have a WIS the diagrams since I know people with STAR. Just doing the job seems very difficult. I was hoping somebody would have done it before and could provide some DIY pictures.

there are some pdfs on the first page explaining how to remove the steering column which may help you. I did this when fixing my hvac stepper motors.

Yes that is an excellent presentation-----however my only point(not personal) is that here in the USA all that information is well documented in MB WIS for a very cheap daily fee and if you don't have access or don't want access to WIS you have to be very clever and produce your own documentation such as you did. My time is expensive and therefore I choose to use WIS!!

I was thinking of taking out the column from the C32 and reinstalling it on the C240. Most of the DIYs are just for dropping the column down, but the column is still connected (linked).
