I would use the oil that is recommended my the manufacture--FYI 100K miles on a eight year old car is low mileage and I would be more concerned with frequency of change vs a viscosity change!!

I have over 240k miles and I use the same 0-40 and given your location, I would keep it that way being in cold climate and all the cold starts etc.

And +1 what Pluto said

Thanks for the input. Actually I did the math wrong, its 270k km so closer to 200k miles but I will get on the oil change thing. Is there a specific interval you would recommend? I have been using 10k miles give or take.

and with that mileage i would keep changing the oil at 10k or earlier interval if possible. Castrol magnatec wont hurt either...

I have 274K miles or 440960KM, Ive used Mobil 1 the whole time and wouldn't hesitate to keep using it.
